Edinburgh celebrates a trio of remarkable women

Edinburgh continues to produce remarkable women. Last week, I was privileged to attend the annual Politician of the Year Awards ceremony in the fabulous Prestonfield House.
-
Grassroots campaign group For Women Scotland (FWS) were nominated for the Public Campaign of the Year prize, following their historic Supreme Court victory in April this year.
The landmark decision forced governments and public bodies across the UK to change policies on sex and gender and was greeted with relief and joy by women’s rights campaigners.
