A few quarrels but travellers working group will proceed

Concerns have been raised over whether a working group on traveller issues in West Lothian will be able to achieve anything substantial.
-
The council faced huge clear-up bills at a series of unauthorised traveller encampments this summer, including Linlithgow.
Bringing together police, prosecution and council services, the new working group will look at ways of using existing legislation more effectively, as well as considering introducing dedicated sites for travellers.
