DODGY ‘DESIGNER’ LAMPS IN SKEGNESS OUTLETS LEAD TO DIRECTOR FACING ALMOST 150,000 IN PENALTIES AND COSTS
A DIRECTOR and his company must pay penalties of almost 150,000 after selling counterfeit and unsafe goods in Skegness.
Bargin Billies Limited T/A Home Style Outlet traded out of three outlets in the Skegness area, with the main premises located on the Burgh Road Trading Estate.
Lincolnshire Trading Standards carried out inspections in 2021, supported by Lincolnshire Police, which resulted in 5,792 items being seized, including various homeware items, rugs, and lamps bearing trademarks such as Chanel, Versace, Louis Vuitton, and Dior.
These lamps were tested and found to be electrically unsafe.
