Family remember Solway Print founder
Mac Creedon, aged 85, of Dumfries, passed away suddenly on the evening of December 25, 2025 following a lovely Christmas Day spent with the family he loved so much.
Mac was born in Westminster on May 7, 1940, and shortly afterwards moved with his parents to their family home in Ruthwell, where he spent his childhood.
It was there that he learned the country ways and traditions that stayed with him throughout his life, alongside his mother, brother, sister, and extended family.
Mac left school in 1955 to begin an apprenticeship as a compositor with Robert Dinwiddie and Co, Printers in Dumfries.
