Stars shine on London stage
January 20, 2026
|Dumfries and Galloway Standard
Memories were made on the West End stage of the iconic Shaftesbury Theatre - home to some of London's most loved productions - for talented young performers of the Razzamataz Dumfries Theatre Schools.
Their "unforgettable weekend" saw 14 Dumfries students perform their own rendition of Matilda in front of the audience and Razzamataz schools members from across the country.
Dumfries principal Debbie Hyslop said the town's dance students were "shining with confidence and professionalism on stage" and enjoyed everything from the excitement backstage to the final bows beneath the bright West End lights - a truly magical experience.
