Supported by The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, it will be held in St John's Church, Newall Terrace, Dumfries, on Saturday, December 6, as an inclusive celebration for people of all faiths and none.

From 3pm to 4pm, it will bring together 260 invited guests and musicians to celebrate individuals and organisations whose acts of kindness strengthen communities across the region.

It is part of an initiative spearheaded by The Princess of Wales to recognise and thank the many people “who act with love in their communities and contribute to a more cohesive and connected society” and is inspired by her annual Westminster Abbey service which is televised on Christmas Eve on ITV1 and ITVX.

Only three are taking place in Scotland with the others being Ayrshire and Lanarkshire.
