IT is still just as difficult to register with an NHS dentist in Kent as it was six months ago - despite Labour's promise to “rebuild” NHS dentistry.

And nowhere is the problem more acute than in Folkestone & Hythe, where not a single NHS dental practice is currently accepting new adult patients.
Updated analysis of the 228 dental practices listed on the NHS's ‘Find a dentist’ website reveals that 186 - or 82 per cent - are not taking on adults aged 18 or over. In stark contrast, Folkestone & Hythe stands out as having no access for new adult NHS patients.
Nearby, Dover has just two practices open to new patients, and one in Deal had space at the time of the research.
