COUNCIL REVEALS PLAN TO CLEAR WAY FOR £20M NEW LEISURE CENTRE IN DEAL
THE ageing Tides Leisure Centre pool in Deal will be demolished this summer, according to proposals to be considered by Dover District Council’s Cabinet on Monday, May 12.
The move is part of preparations for a £20 million new leisure centre in the town.
The pool, which was built in the 1980s, was permanently closed to the public on March 16 this year after being deemed to have reached the end of its operational life.
The proposed demolition, which includes the adjacent former nursery building, is expected to cost up to £600,000.
