Brown flags shame for dirty bathing beaches

AWARDS HIGHLIGHT POOR SEA WATER QUALITY ALONG COAST
THREE beaches in east Kent have been dishonoured with the infamous “Brown Flag” for poor water quality.
UK travel site Holidayparkguru.co.uk analysed the Environment Agency's annual summertime water quality data at hundreds of beaches to reveal 19 grubby “winners” around the UK - and in east Kent a total of three beaches have received the unwanted award, including Littlestone, Deal Castle and Dymchurch.
Littlestone had already been awarded the dubious distinction last year, while the other two are newcomers.
