HGV DRIVER ARRESTED AFTER DISCOVER IN PORT OF DOVER
A MAN has been arrested after an arsenal of guns and ammunition, as well as a large quantity of drugs, were recovered from a lorry at the Port of Dover.
Border Force officers stopped the Lithuanian-registered heavy goods vehicle on Monday, June 23 and found a haul of 20 firearms, 320 rounds of ammunition, 170kg of ketamine, and more than 4,000 MDMA pills.
Investigators from the National Crime Agency estimate that the street value of the drugs would have been around £4.5 million for the ketamine, and £40,000 for the MDMA pills.
