GOALKEEPER Jacob Widell Zetterstrom is Derby County's PFA Community Champion for the 2024-25 season.

Zetterstrom picked out for his work for Rams in community

The award, made by the Professional Footballers' Association, recognises the efforts of a player at each club for their dedication to supporting communities.

Winners will have made their work with communities and good causes central to their role as a professional footballer.

Since arriving at Pride Park Stadium in August 2024, Zetterstrom has made an impact not only as a popular player through performances on the pitch but also through his commitment to community engagement.

A standout example of his involvement came during a visit to Derby's Royal School for the Deaf in February.

The Sweden international participated in a variety of activities with students, including relay races, a football match and a penalty shootout.

But he went further and took the time to learn British Sign Language (BSL) from the students and staff, learning to spell his name, say: “Nice to meet you!” and sign: “Come on you Rams!”
