LEWIS Travis insists Derby County should be “absolutely nowhere” near their current Championship standing.

The Rams were beaten 1-0 at home by Preston North End on Saturday as a piledriver from Alfie Devine decided the game.

John Eustace’s side are still looking for their first home win of the campaign and Saturday's defeat meant they slipped into the bottom three, albeit after only six matches.

Newly-installed captain Travis, who joined the Rams in the summer, is not pressing the panic button but urged his team to show more conviction.

“We just need to have a lot more belief in and out of possession - especially in the first half,” he told BBC Radio Derby.
