TV HISTORIAN Dan Snow comes face to face with an Inca “ice mummy” in his latest travel show.
The “mummy” is a young girl who was frozen in time when she was sacrificed to the mountain gods at Machu Picchu in Peru around 600 years ago. Now, using new archaeology and recently discovered ancient records, a picture can be pieced together of life and death in this extraordinary place.
