Polygon shaping up for new future by keeping focus on helping young

AWELL-known multi-sided Derbyshire landmark has been sold, but will still retain its role in helping children and young people.

The Polygon Centre, in Alfreton, was built in the 1960s as a youth centre by Derbyshire County Council.

Following its closure and sale as part of cost-saving measures, the building now begins a new chapter having been bought by Valley CiDS as an asset of community value.

Founded in 2000, Valley CiDS is a respected charity supporting children, young people and families across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. The charity is celebrating its 25th anniversary and remains committed to its vision of “investing in the next generation”.
