NURSE AIMS TO CLIMB HIGHEST MOUNTAINS ON EACH OF SEVEN CONTINENTS TO RAISE £15K FOR ROYAL COLLEGE CAUSE
A DERBYSHIRE nurse is currently at Everest base camp, waiting to make an ascent on the summit.
After spending her career caring for others and helping to educate the next generation of healthcare professionals, Rowena Rowberry, 34, from Hatton, has set her sights on an extraordinary personal challenge.
She wants to climb the highest mountain on each of the seven continents and raise £15,000 to support the work of the Royal College of Nursing Foundation.
She successfully reached the summits of Africa’s Mount Kilimanjaro (5,895m) in January 2024, Europe’s Mount Elbrus (5,642m) in August 2024, and South America’s Aconcagua (6,961m) in February 2025.
