TWO FOR EXPERIENCE, TWO WHO WERE NOT GOING TO FEATURE IN LOAN MOVES

- By LEIGH CURTIS

ALONG with all their other business in the transfer window, Derby County granted loan moves to four players before the market closed for business.

They were all players whose first-team chance in the coming season looked limited.

Kenzo Goudmijn was the headline departure as he sealed a return to the Netherlands to sign for Go Ahead Eagles while Ben Osborn sealed a season-long loan deal to join Stockport County.

Dajaune Brown and Jake Rooney joined Port Vale and Barnsley respectively, with the loan seen as beneficial for their development.

Here's how they have got on so far as they look to make an impression with their new clubs.

Kenzo Goudmijn

The midfielder made his full debut for Go Ahead Eagles and played 67 minutes of their Eredivisie clash against FC Volendam.

Boss Melvin Boel wasted no time in thrusting him straight into the team after his move from Derby and it was a move that paid dividends as they secured their first win of the season.

Jakob Breum put his team ahead with a header before Victor Edvardsen scored to make it 2-0.

In what was an excellent half for the Eagles, Mathis Suray put the game beyond the visitors’ reach and it finished 3-0.
