FIRST there was a Six Million Dollar Man and then along came a Bionic Woman. Lindsay Wagner became a hit with TV viewers when she first appeared as Jaime Sommers in The Six Million Dollar Man in 1975 as the high school sweetheart of Steve Austin (Lee Majors).
It was supposed to be her last TV role before her contract expired but she proved so popular that she was offered her own spin-off show.
