Georgia lost half her bodyweight in a year and found new confidence

A WOMAN who had “no confidence at all” has told of her weight loss journey where she lost half her body weight in just 12 months.

Georgia Walley, from Derby, weighed nearly 27 stone at her heaviest, taking a size 28 dress.

It was on a random Wednesday afternoon that Georgia realised she needed to make a change, so she began attending her local Slimming World group in Sinfin in April last year.

“I decided enough was enough, and I wanted to try a new method,” she said.

“I just felt unhappy with myself. I weighed myself, and that was the wake-up call I needed. My biggest struggles before losing weight were being very insecure and having no confidence at all. My biggest weakness was no self-control.”
