Fresh blow for city centre as homeware store begins 'closing down' sale
September 12, 2025
|Derby Telegraph
A SHOP on one of the city's busiest streets is expected to close after a notice was painted in bold letters on the window.
-
Home Decor in East Street has been hard to miss, with its bright blue and black signage, since it opened for the first time in February last year - but its stint in the city centre seems to be coming to an end.
“Closing down sale. Last few days” are the words painted in white at the front of the shop, which the Derby Telegraph understands will close in the next few weeks, although there is no set date yet. The premises lie near Poundstretcher and Betfred. It was previously occupied by Inside Out.
