Chaotic and wilde CPUT protests lead to five dentistry students being geskors after 'procedure not followed

- BY LILITA GCWABE

SOOS TANDE TREK

CAPE Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) has suspended more than five students due to ongoing protests.

The suspensions have left many students feeling demoralised and uncertain about their academic futures.

The move comes as dental students continue to face delays in classes and graduation, with many reporting that they feel unsafe and unheard on campus. Physical classes remain on hold across campus.

One student, who requested anonymity, said he received a suspension letter from the university last Friday following a protest march to Parliament.

He said: "I feel that they did not follow the correct procedure to suspend me because I did not receive a suspension order, which is supposed to be the first step."
