Four Goodwood ouens crash into tree after 'gang hit'

A SUSPECTED gang hit in Goodwood yesterday afternoon left one person dead and three others wounded.

According to reports, four men were shot at while driving in a white Volkswagen Polo in Van Riebeeck Street. The driver lost control after shots were fired and crashed into a tree.

Goodwood Community Policing Forum (CPF) Chairperson Abdullah Sydney told the Daily Voice that the incident is alleged to be gang-related, however he could not confirm whether it was a retaliation or a hit.

Sydney said: “I can confirm that the driver drove into a tree and lost control and they were shot. All we know for now is that it’s gang-related...”
