City of Cape Town offers cash reward for info on brazen Atlantis shooting

CAPE Town Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis said the City is offering a R100 000 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible for Wednesday's horrific taxi-related deaths in Atlantis.

Cape Organisation for the Democratic Taxi Association (Codeta) Chairperson for Atlantis Eugene Titus, 42, fondly known as Spoed, was gunned down outside Atlantis Secondary School while loading children into a taxi.

A 14-year-old Grade 8 meisie was also killed in the shooting. Her body was found lying in the school grounds.

The Atlantis Search and Rescue Missing Persons Unit extended its deepest and heartfelt condolences to Titus for his selfless services within the organisation.
