Police investigate Wesbank shootings

POLICE are investigating two counts of murder in Wesbank after a 32-year-old woman was shot and killed before, moments later, a foreign national was killed inside his shop on Friday evening.
The woman, whose neighbours claim was well known in the community and a people's person was gunned down in Framesby Street at around 6.30pm.
Police spokesperson Captain FC Van Wyk said that Mfuleni police are investigating a murder case.
Van Wyk said: “Mfuleni police registered a murder following a shooting incident on 4 July 2025 at about 6.30pm in front of a premises in Framesby Street, Wesbank, where a 32-year-old female was shot and fatally wounded.
