Stormers are up for a dogfight against Cardiff in URC game
-
STORMERS defence coach Norman Laker expects a dogfight when they tackle Welsh club Cardiff in their final league game of the United Rugby Championship at Cape Town Stadium on Friday.
The Kaapse span are currently in fifth position on the URC standings after last week’s bonus-point win against the Dragons, with Cardiff sitting in sixth and only two points separating the teams.
A win will be enough for the Stormers to seal fifth spot and book a potential quarter-final against the Sharks (currently fourth) or Glasgow Warriors (third) - depending on results this weekend.
