NATIONAL Coloured Congress (NCC) party leader Fadiel Adams and Cape Town mayor Geordin-Hill Lewis have traded barbs in a hewige bekgeveg.

- BY KIM SWARTZ

Adams went live on Facebook on Wednesday night after images of him and other members posing with a firearm were highlighted at a City Council of Chambers meeting earlier in the day.

Hill-Lewis brought out receipts of the party allegedly “glamoursing gang violence” by posting pictures of them holding firearms during a council of chambers meeting.

Hill-Lewis then accused the party of “intimidating and extorting businesses” and stated that posing for photos with guns is what gangs do.

He added: “That, by the way, that is Fadiel Adams and councillor Nasmie Jacobs right there in that picture, they’re the ones parading around with what looks like a 9mm.
