Mense worry as gang war erupts after hit on ‘boss’ at the weekend
It is understood that Metro Police officers responded to the shooting and caught the gunman, but came under attack by residents who freed him from custody.
Metro Police spokesperson Ruth Solomon's confirmed the incident, saying: “On Saturday, Metro Police officers in patrol in Manenberg responded to a ShotSpotter alert.
“At Hilda Court, officers conducted stop and searches, and found an adult male in possession of a 9mm pistol with an empty magazine.
