According to the Afrikaans publication Rapport, it is understood that the Springbok wing is set to leave his Japanese club, Tokyo Suntory Sungoliath.

This comes as a moerse surprise after the two-time World Cup winner only recently extended his contract with the Japanese club until the end of next season, meaning the Stormers reportedly needed outside help to buy the 32-year-old out of his Japanese deal.

A source told Rapport: “It’s definitely very, very close.”
