NEWCASTLE attacker Anthony Gordon said being lauded by Benfica boss Jose Mourinho after the Magpies’ Champions League win at home to the Portuguese span on Tuesday was a “big compliment”.
The 24-year-old England forward scored the first goal and made the last for substitute Harvey Barnes, who scored twice, in a 3-0 victory at St James’ Park as the Magpies overwhelmed Benfica to the delight of a crowd of 52 000 mense.
