BAFANA Bafana set the tone for their upcoming Africa Cup of Nations campaign with a commanding 3-1 victory over Zambia in an international friendly at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday.

Bafana, ranked 87th in the world, asserted themselves from the eerste whistle against 59th-ranked neighbours Zambia.

Midfielder Teboho Mokoena, who was celebrating his 50th cap, showed some mooi touches in the buildup of attacks, and a feed from deep nearly produced a goal.

There were several instances of deft off-the-ball play by Bafana, who were punching holes in Chipolopolo’s defence.
