Boeta and Steffie decide not to speak in their 'Joshlin' defence

ON ANOTHER dramatic day in the Joshlin Smith matter, two of the co-accused have decided against speaking in their defence.

In a shocking turn of events, Jacquen “Boeta” Appollis and Steveno “Steffie” van Rhyn both instructed their lawyers that they would not be giving evidence or be calling witnesses.

This comes as the State yesterday closed its case at the Western Cape High Court sitting in Saldanha Bay, opening proceedings for the various defences.
