A HI-TECH operation saw cops take down a suspected shooter in Grassy Park on Friday.
In a bid to rid the streets of guns and gang violence, an integrated SAPS operation comprising Grassy Park Crime Prevention Unit, the Drone Unit and the Mitchells Plain Sub-District Crime Combatting Unit was launched on Friday, 28 March 2025 in the Grassy Park area following several reported shooting incidents. This led to the arrest of a 40-year-old suspect and the recovery of four 9mm pistols with ammunition in Ottery.
