Buoyant Wakey make Hanley wary of threat

UMYLA HANLEY has likened Wakefield Trinity's playoff surge to his own Leigh side's Super League ascent two years ago.

And he insists the West Yorkshire side are a 'dangerous' proposition.

Returning to Super League after promotion last season, Wakefield have defied expectation to finish inside the top six.

Leigh, who achieved the same feat back in the big time in 2023, have secured a third consecutive playoff finish.

The sides open the 2025 playoff series tonight as two of Super League's resurgent teams and for Leopards centre Hanley, unveiled as a Dream Team player on Monday, it is very much game on.
