Turner’s cry and mighty

BEN TURNER was in tears as he celebrated his first Grand Tour victory by winning stage four of the Vuelta a Espana.

‘The British rider (above) timed his moment to perfection to triumph in a sprint finish in Voiron.

Turner was a late call-up to the INEOS Grenadiers team after some impressive recent results and his chain came off during the first sprint of the race.

But yesterday it was all about glory as he won ahead of Jasper Philipsen and Edward Planckaert, with fellow Brit Ethan Vernon in fourth.
