Gold Cup hero to miss Aintree

INTENSE RAFFLES became the new favourite for the Grand National yesterday after Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Inothewayurthinkin was taken out of the race.

Last year’s Irish Grand National winner was cut to 7-1 from 8-1 by William Hill after Gavin Cromwell withdrew his stable star.

Inothewayurthinkin, who was 3-1, was forecast to go off the shortest-priced favourite in Grand National history if he lined up at Aintree on April 5, following his defeat of hat-trick seeking Galopin Des Champs last Friday.
