CRAIG LINGARD could not hide his delight as Castleford edged out Catalans maintain their resurgence.

The Tigers saw off Steve McNamara's title contenders to clinch a third straight Super League win amid jubilant scenes at the Jungle.

Castleford made an awful start to the season, but Lingard's fashioned them into a respected force.

They raced into an 18-0 lead midway through the first half and although the Dragons hit back to level, Castleford claimed a late winning try through Tex Hoy.
