Rovanpera dreams of chasing Verstappen

THE ‘Max Verstappen of the World Rally Championship’ has declared his ambition to one day take on the four-time Formula 1 legend.

Double World Rally champion Kalle Rovanpera has announced a shock career switch as he chases a future at the peak of single-seater motorsport.

The Finnish racer, 25, has taken part in 75 rallies, winning 17 of them and taking back-to-back titles in 2022 and 2023.

As the youngest-ever WRC champion, race winner and podium finisher, Rovanpera has been described as the Verstappen of rallying. And now he is bidding to one day race directly against the Dutchman.
