AUSTRALIA has swooped on Britain's doctors, nurses and cops - now it wants our soldiers too.

The Australian Defence Force will recruit from foreign countries including the UK to fill a shortfall in its ranks.

It is seeking to beef up its military might in the face of what it says are growing regional threats.
