AJ brush with death got Fury back in the ring

TYSON FURY decided to return to the ring after learning Anthony Joshua had cheated death in a horror smash.

Heavyweight Fury, 37, has not fought since he lost his rematch with unified world champion Oleksandr Usyk in Riyadh in 2024.

He will end his 16-month absence when he takes on Arslanbek Makhmudov at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on April 11.

The former world champion announced his comeback last month, weeks after Joshua walked away from a car crash in Nigeria which killed two of his closest friends.

And Fury revealed the incident sparked him into bringing an end to his latest retirement. "The biggest turning point in this comeback for me was the tragedy that happened with Anthony Joshua," he said.
