Trafford’s big fear as City line up Italian giant

JAMES TRAFFORD must have fancied his chances of getting Manchester City’s No.1 shirt in the very near future when he joined the club earlier this summer.

After all, current first-choice Ederson has been linked with a move away from the Etihad for the last 12 months.

The Brazilian is often linked with big-money Saudi Arabian moves, while Galatasaray are also interested in him.

Yet now it has emerged that should a bid come in for Ederson, City are ready to swoop for Paris St-Germain outcast Gianluigi Donnarumma.

‘And that can’t be a welcome development for England hopeful Trafford during a World Cup year.

City brought former player Trafford from Burnley in a £31m deal by triggering a clause that enabled them to match Newcastle's offer.
