LIVERPOOL'S woes continued last night after their flight to Germany to face Eintracht Frankfurt was delayed by almost four hours.

The Reds were left stranded at Liverpool's John Lennon Airport after their plane suffered technical issues.

Liverpool boss Arne Slot insisted the delay would not affect their chances of preventing a fifth successive loss for the first time in 73 years.

But it was hardly ideal as they look to bounce back from Sunday's defeat to Manchester United at Anfield.

“No, it will not impact the buildup to tomorrow,” said Slot, speaking before the flight eventually departed. “We have trained over here at the AXA (Training Centre).
