The F1 rookies ready to rock in Mexico City

FORMULA ONE rules require all drivers to give up two practice sessions per year to offer 'rookie' drivers some time in the spotlight.

And with every team on the grid still yet to fulfil their quota for the season, this weekend's Mexico City Grand Prix has been chosen as the ideal time to tick some boxes.

Four-time champion Max Verstappen and the British quartet of Lewis Hamilton, Lando Norris, George Russell and Oliver Bearman are among those who will be temporarily sidelined in first practice tomorrow.

Sauber are the only team who haven't announced a plan to switch out one of their main drivers.
