Dear James, I WORK in retail and have held the same position for four years. Whilst I work very hard and like the company I work for, I seem to be missed for promotion every time.

I have asked for feedback and always been told that another person was better suited for the role.

How do I make myself stand out more from the crowd and get promoted? Do I have to leave my company to get that next step on the ladder or should they see how loyal I am?
