JOFRA ARCHER is back and Rob Key is backing England's "special" one to shine when they defend the Twenty20 World Cup in the Caribbean next month.
After several false dawns, 95.5mph Archer has been included in a 15-man squad - despite playing no professional cricket since last May.
England managing director Key (inset) admits he will be keeping "fingers crossed" that the 2019 World Cup super-over hero makes the flight to his native Barbados on May 31 without further setbacks.
Archer has not bowled in anger since he was laid low by the recurrence of a stress fracture in his right elbow at the Indian Premier League 12 months ago.
But there was no hesitation in selecting Archer. Key said: "Jofra is a bowler that's just so special you do everything you can to try to get him back playing.
