No way Nobel!

THE Nobel Prize ceremony is set to go ahead tomorrow in Sweden's capital Stockholm - and Donald Trump won't be getting an award. The Orange Manbaby had set his sights on the prestigious peace gong for intervening in global conflicts. But the awards were causing controversy long before Trump decided he fancied his own. Here MEG JORSH looks back at some previous rows.

As the inventor of dynamite Alfred Nobel, left, had a bit of an image problem.

In fact, the Swede was branded a “merchant of death” and started to worry that was how he would be remembered. So he changed his will in 1895, leaving 94% of his fortune to establish Nobel Prizes in physics, chemistry, medicine, literature, and peace. By the end of 2024, the prize fund was worth £540million.
