Martinez top target in late dash

MANCHESTER UNITED are still pushing to sign a goalkeeper before tonight’s transfer deadline - with Aston Villa’s Emi Martinez one of their targets.

United boss Ruben Amorim wants an upgrade on Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir, with Martinez (left) and Royal Antwerp’s Senne Lammens having emerged as the two contenders. It is understood Argentina World Cup winner Martinez is preferred due to his greater experience, particularly in the Premier League.
