JOELINTON is adamant that Newcastle will “fight” to breathe life into their ailing season.

The £40m man was back from injury and back on the scoresheet to get the Toon off to a flying start at Burnley in a 3-1 win on Tuesday.

But the South American knows their next sequence of games is campaign-defining, starting with the visit of Oliver Glasner's Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Joelinton said: “Every game has to be a fight now. That has to be our mentality going into 2026. Every game is like a final, and you have to give your best. If not, you won't win in the Premier League. We will fight for every ball, for every game, and hopefully win more games.”
