I'm paying for his cheating and lies

I THOUGHT my ex-partner was a decent person, but he told wicked lies to get me out of his house.

He hinted that he was seriously ill with money troubles and family problems. Like a fool I believed him. I packed my bags and went round to my sister’s. He moved in another woman the very next day.

Now they're swanning around like love's young dream. They’re all over social media, kissing and partying - and I feel like a complete loser. How can I trust anyone ever again?

What gets me is that I spent a huge amount of time and money on his house. Even though he owned it, I painted every room.

I invested in linens, rugs and kitchen accessories to make it look nice. He asked if he could keep everything and, basically, gave me £3,000 to go away.
