Pilots pulled the plane upwards just before impact
THE pilots of the doomed jet that collided with a US Army helicopter heroically tried to save their passengers but were too late.
Capt Jonathan Campos, 34, and First Officer Samuel Lilley, 28, pulled up the nose seconds before impact, preliminary black box data has revealed.
