BRAVEMANSGAME is set to bypass Saturday's Charlie Hall Chase at Wetherby in favour of a return in the Betfair Chase at Haydock.
The eight-year-old, who gave Paul Nicholls a record 13th triumph in the King George VI Chase last Christmas before a second in the Cheltenham Gold Cup, will have one run before defending his title on Boxing Day.
