Brook adds Stokes sparkle to ODI side says McCullum

BRENDON compared MCCULLUM has Harry Brook's impressive start in charge of the white-ball side to that of Ben Stokes' dramatic influence on the Test outfit.

And the England boss praised Brook for putting his "personal" blueprint on the team and sparking a much-needed revival.

McCullum insists Brook has already displayed a natural instinct for success at the helm having shown real aptitude for the challenge.

The Yorkshireman took over an outfit whose confidence and morale had been dealt a few painful blows from successive World Cup, Champions Trophy and series losses.

England's world-beaters had not just lost their crowns, but, with Jos Buttler suffering for the downturn in form by losing the captaincy, they appeared to lose their way.
